Ben Tindall

Architect Ben Tindall takes us through the process of working with the owners of Jupiter Artland, from initial concepts to the finished Visitor Facilities and changes to the main house. As a trained carpenter, Ben is particularly interested in the practice of working with artists and craftspeople. His fascinating talk includes some of the problems that threatened the project.

Ben was brought up with an architectural background, trained as a carpenter in Denmark and has run his own practice since 1982. He works throughout Scotland and the UK for a wide variety of clients and on a broad range of work, ranging from the Queen’s Gallery at Holyrood to plans for the new settlement of An Camas Mòr in the Cairngorms. His interests in history and an enthusiasm for good workmanship, patina and colour are hallmarks of the practice. To find out more about Ben Tindall visit his website.
